About the Speaker
Kay M. Adams is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in the field of dementia care. She is a Certified Dementia Consultant, Educator, Coach, Trainer, and Speaker who is passionate about supporting people living with dementia, as well as the families, caregivers and communities entrusted with their care. Kay receives great inspiration from the people she is privileged to work with every day who are impacted in some way by the disease of dementia. The lessons Kay has learned along the way from these amazing beings continue to be the source of her determination, motivation and innovation for change.
Kay’s extensive background in geriatrics, hospice, palliative care, and mental health allows her to address the complex and diverse experiences of her audiences in a very relatable, knowledgeable, and compassionate way. Known for her engaging story-telling, and for bringing a unique authenticity and humor to her presentations, Kay can make often uncomfortable topics safe and stimulating for her audiences to engage in, experience, and to explore.

Kay brings these compelling stories to life from her award-winning book, Bedside Witness: Stories of Hope, Healing, and Humanity, as she thoughtfully and humorously explores how a positive attitude, the ability to forget our differences, and the practice of forgiveness can change all of our lives and relationships in profound ways.
