Join AARP Colorado for Caregiver Connections: A Morning Just for You at the COS City Hub.
Planned with input from more than 65 local caregivers, Caregiver Connections is a come-and-go morning for family caregivers in Colorado Springs, wherever you are in your caregiving journey. Meet other caregivers who understand, hear from two nationally recognized speakers, find local resources, and take some time to recharge.
Caregiving is some of the most important work you’ll ever do, but it can feel isolating. Whether you’re preparing to care for someone, just getting started, or have been caring for a loved one for years, this morning is a chance to step away, connect, and leave with support you can use.
Stay for an hour or the whole morning:
- 9:00 a.m. Check-in with coffee, light refreshments, and a Caregiver Care Kit (while supplies last)
- 9:15 a.m. Welcome and a guided activity to meet other caregivers
- 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Session 1: Planning Ahead: Preparing for Caregiving
- 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Session 2: Avoiding Burnout: Support for Current Caregivers — presented by Kay M. Adams
- 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Resource tables and health and wellness activities, open throughout**
